My copywriting career began, of all places, on Craigslist.
After graduating in 2011 with a degree in English and Public Relations, I jumped into the world of freelancing. I took on any writing project I could find, including website copy, blog posts, and press materials for a variety of businesses.
Those early projects taught me how to be versatile and led to full-time roles at creative agencies. I learned from experienced mentors and worked on a wide range of campaigns from different industries.
After some years, I eventually moved into management roles, where I had the opportunity to work directly with clients and gain a deep understanding of their unique business needs.
Over time, my responsibilities grew beyond just writing copy. I was entrusted with developing entire campaigns from beginning to end. This involved everything from the initial brainstorming and strategy sessions to crafting the core messaging, writing all the promotional materials, and overseeing the final execution.
Working at these agencies gave me a holistic view of how to bring a creative concept to life and achieve tangible business results.
It was all going great… until I left my stable, full-time job
After spending 15 years in the agency world, I realized something important. While I was grateful for the experience, I wanted more flexibility and creative freedom in my work. I had a growing desire to partner directly with clients and apply my skills to projects I cared about. So, I made the leap from a stable, full-time job to starting my own business.
Today, I have the privilege of working with entrepreneurs who are driven by purpose. They're passionate founders and leaders who want to solve real problems, provide genuine value, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of the people they serve.
